This publicly listed services provider is a dominant force globally and in sectors of the Australian financial services landscape with deep pedigree in the provision of sophisticated and integrated service offerings, especially around credit risk, payments and debt services. The group wishes to capitalise on the success and vantage point of their Australian operations by offering a broader suite of proprietary solutions that can be fulfilled across their global network. As part of a significant business transformation agenda, the CEO/Board are wishing to appoint an Executive Director, Sales & Distribution for Australian operations to turbo charge their march towards the achievement of ambitious growth and innovation goals set by the group.
Reporting to the CEO, your remit is to develop, manage and oversee the leadership of the client facing business, from strategy development through to its operational execution. You will grow revenue and brand presence in the market whilst ensuring our client retains its industry and category leadership by building out on 3rd party and digital go to market strategy. As part of the Executive Committee, your core deliverables dovetail into Finance, People, Systems, Risk & Compliance, CX, Growth and Development in owning a budget of c80MAUD. This highly visible role will also interact with offshore counterparts in ensuring Australian operations synergise with/leverage off broader global mandates mapped out by the Board in ultimately answering to the needs and wants of modern customers and shareholders.
This presents as a career-defining appointment for a new-age financial services industry executive who profiles with the following:
- A superior track record of success and achievement in B2B2C executive sales management in the BFSI arena – this experience has probably been gained within a bank (1st or 2nd tier), vendor, SI, management consultancy, BPO or other solutions provider operating within/servicing the consumer finance field;
- The executive presence, reputation and intellect required to sell to/connect with C-suite decision makers and build mandates in respect of complex, multi-faceted financial services solutions;
- Proven strategic thinking and planning skills with which you methodically forecast and deliver on sales goals based on the latest in data analytics;
- A thorough understanding of the drivers of success in leading effective sales teams utilising proven sales operating rhythms and practices;
- Executive-grade written, oral, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills of the highest order;
- Exceptional business/commercial acumen, a P&L mindset and strong bona fides in and around budgetary and business planning disciplines; and
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree together with strong literacy across MS-Office/CRM applications.
